Transferring data from BlackBerry to iPhone?

I am getting an iPhone 4 in a few days to replace my BlackBerry Curve 8520. I have saved some messages that I wanted to keep to my sim card and obviously my contacts are on there. When I put my sim into the iPhone, will the messages and contacts be transferred on to it where I can still see them or is there something else I need to do in order to make this happen? Thanks.
